In Heroes of the Storm, Blizzard has introduced mounts which are similar to those in World of Warcraft that allows players to traverse the map quickly. However unlike World of Warcraft mounts where quite a few of it is earned through achievements or raid loot, Heroes of the Storm mounts can be bought, although some of it can be earned as well.
If you’ve no plans to spend real money to acquire mounts for the game, you might be interested to learn that Blizzard has announced that they will be giving away a new Mechanospider mount in the game. However there is a catch and that is you will have to form a team with your Facebook friends.
Basically you’ll have to launch the Heroes of the Storm Facebook app and invite your friends to form a team. It does sound a little spammy and reminds us invites you might expect to see from Farmville and Pirate Kings and whatnot, but once you’re done with all of that, you will get a code that will redeem the Mechanospider mount that you can use in the game.
Whether or not you want to start spamming your friends with invites to play Heroes of the Storm is up to you, but if you decide that the mount is worth getting a little flack from your pals, hit up the Heroes of the Storm blog for the details.
