The world of football (or soccer for those living in the US) has been rocked in the past week with the FIFA scandal, and the long standing president of 5 terms (although the last term only lasted for a few days) has finally resigned amidst all of the bribery allegations surrounding people who worked closely with him. Still, there is a showpiece finale to the football season before everyone takes a break in the summer, and that is none other than the Champions League final which will feature Barcelona of Spain and Juventus of Italy duking it out. HTC intends to commemorate this special event with a 24ct gold edition of its flagship One M9.
Needless to say, other than having similar hardware specifications underneath the hood, the beauty of this special edition One M9 lies on the outside, where it will be extremely limited in number, and will feature engraving that is specific to the Champions League Final.
While HTC has officially posted the image that you see above on Facebook, it remains to be seen whether the handset will be sold via normal channels, and the most important missing link of it all – the final price point, so that we will be able to figure out just how much to fork out if we so happen to want one.
