In November last year Swedish developer Avalanche Studios confirmed that it was developing Just Cause 3 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The developer had been teasing the title prior to the official announcement but it made it clear in November that the new title was on its way. Back then it didn’t say much about Just Cause 3 but at the E3 2015 gaming convention, not only were we treated to a trailer, but we were also told the official Just Cause 3 release date.

Just Cause 3 sees protagonist Rico Rodriguez return to Medici, said to be “his mother’s homeland,” as he seeks to overthrow a dictator that’s obsessed with world domination.

The sequel has been five years in the making and hopefully fans will be impressed by what they see here today, Just Cause 3 is said to have vastly improved graphics, a new wingsuit and new parachute and grapple mechanics among other improvements.

From the footage that was shown off today it’s going to be one crazy ride for Rico as there’s no shortage of planes, battleships, monster trucks and even F1 cars in the game which spans an open world measuring some 400 square miles. You even see Rico nonchalantly surfing on an ICBM, that’s short for a missile that can cross continents.

Just Cause 3 release date has been confirmed today, the title will be out on December 1st, 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.
