Are you disappointed that Nintendo had nothing new to share about the Legend of Zelda for the Nintendo Wii U? Well if you are, you’re probably joining a long list of gamers who feel the same way. However if you love the Zelda franchise and wouldn’t mind seeing some alternate titles, how does the Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes sound to you?

During the company’s E3 2015 press conference, they announced a new Zelda title for the Nintendo 3DS handheld console. Unlike previous Zelda-related titles, this appears to be rather different in terms of gameplay and it’s actually a pretty spot on way of showing how creative Nintendo can be with its franchises.

Tri Force Heroes, as the name implies, will involve three players. Each player gets to be Link although the fun part is that you get to dress him up however you want, even putting him into a Princess Zelda outfit. From there, players are tasked to complete all sorts of puzzles and fight bosses, all of which will require good teamwork and coordination.

Like we said it is a bit different from what you might have expected from the Zelda RPG franchise, but it seems like a fun way to enjoy a game or two with your friends. Unfortunately no release date has been given yet but in the meantime you can check out the trailer above to get an idea of what to expect from the game.
