VIBE-X2__01You know what they say – better late than never, but there are times in life that it would be a whole lot better not to be late at all in the first place, than to appear long after everyone else has boarded the bus. Thankfully, when it comes to operating system updates for smartphones, it is a case of better late than never. Here we are, having heard on the ground that the Lenovo Vibe X2 has started to receive its Android 5.0 Lollipop update.

While it was originally meant to roll out on May 27th last month, it looked as though the Android 5.0 Lollipop update ran into several snags, which resulted in a delay for a few days. Fret not, however, as it looks like things are going to end up smooth sailing from now on, as the Android 5.0 Lollipop update has been made available for download at long last.

So far, owners of the Lenovo Vibe X2 from various parts of Asia have begun to report on this good news. Needless to say, you can more or less expect the usual from the Android 5.0 Lollipop update, especially with Material Design in tow, not to mention performance as well as battery improvements. Do take note that this update will be released Over The Air (OTA), and weighs in at 1.1GB in size, so it would be best to get it done over a Wi-Fi network.
