LG-Minibeam-NanoAs much as we’d all love to experience watching movies on a large LCD/LED TV, these devices do not come cheap which is where projectors come into play. They might not have the same picture quality or color saturation compared to TVs, but they’re generally more affordable and can project some pretty large images.

Now if you’re in the market for a new projector, you might be interested to learn that LG has taken the wraps off their latest projector in the form of the LG Minibeam Nano. According to the company, this is their smallest, lightest, and most affordable projector to date, with it weighing in at 270 grams and measuring 108 x 103 x 44mm.

The projector can pair with your mobile device wirelessly through Miracast and WiFi Direct, thus allowing users to share photos or videos remotely. It can even display documents so if you’re planning on using it for presentations, it should not be an issue either, and thanks to its small size you can bring it everywhere with you easily.

Unfortunately its resolution isn’t particularly high at 854 x 480 and with its projection size capped at 100-inches, safe to say that the resulting images or videos won’t be the sharpest you’ve seen. However according to LG, “The Minibeam Nano is the perfect projector for those who favor portability over everything else. And at only a quarter of a kilogram, you can’t get much more portable than Minibeam Nano.”

Pricing of the LG Minibeam Nano has yet to be determined but it is scheduled for release this month in markets around the world.
