mx5-geekbenchJust like you cannot keep a good man down, so too, are you unable to keep a good, upcoming handset away from the limelight of rumors and leaks. The upcoming Meizu MX5 (that will go Full Metal Jacket) is definitely a smartphone which is worth checking out, and it is tipped to be unveiled in the week ahead – on June 30th, where possible, based on what has been gathered online. Well, here are more details on the soon-to-be smartphone, as the GeekBench result of the Meizu MX5 has apparently leaked out, where it also inadvertently revealed much of the hardware underneath the hood as well.

Through the benchmark, it has been confirmed that the Meizu MX5 will run on the MediaTek MT6795T SoC, which is also a chip that is known as the Helio X10. Apparently, the MediaTek Helio X10 that runs within the Meizu MX5 does offer some rather outstanding multi-core performance, as it picked up approximately 5,200 points in multi-core tests, which would pretty much place it at the cream of the crop.

All eight ARM Cortex-A53 cores can work as and when required, resulting in impressive multi-core performance. The thing is, when will software developers come up with apps that will require all eight cores to work at once? After all, it is not as though the world is running on such hardware architecture, so real world performance would not see quite an impressive boost, so buyer beware!
