Given how well-received Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes was received, without a doubt many gamers are looking forward to its successor, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain which is expected to be a much longer game than its predecessor. The game has yet to be released but if you want more footage, you’ll want to check out the video above.

Konami and Hideo Kojima have recently released the E3 2015 trailer for the upcoming game and true to Kojima’s style, the trailer is all sorts of cryptic with messages and symbols that would most probably make more sense once you start playing the game. The Phantom Pain is expected to be released on the 1st of September where it will be available on the PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, and the Xbox One.

The PC version of the game is set to be released a week later. Now there has been some confusion surrounding the future of the Metal Gear Solid franchise. Kojima is said to have left Konami although recent statements have suggested that The Phantom Pain will be his last game with the company and he will continue to offer his support.

In the meantime whether or not that is true, there have been signs showing that Konami is looking for new talent to expand their Metal Gear franchise, but whether or not it will truly be the same post-Kojima remains to be seen, so if the rumors are true, The Phantom Pain could be his swan song.
