A couple of days back a new bug in the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge was discovered, quite a lot of users discovered that quick settings toggles on their handsets were disappearing on their own. Since quick toggles are meant to provide quick access to some important software features not having them readily available obviously caused a lot of pain to users. A temporary fix was pointed out by users on Twitter but now Samsung has come through with an official fix.

The fix comes in the form of a little application that is now available for download from the Galaxy Apps store, the app is called QuickPanel Restore and it does precisely what the name suggests.

QuickPanel Restore has a very simple user interface with just one button that reads “Restore,” tapping on this button is going to bring back any quick toggles that might be missing for the handset.

Many users found that they were missing at least one or a combination of toggles without any reason, some believed that this was merely a built-in software feature that removed toggles which had not been used for 30 days.

Samsung didn’t reveal the reason behind this, it quietly released the app, and now that’s it here and it fixes the problem it’s unlikely that people will dig deeper into the reason.
