droid-turbo-lollipop

I’m sure this is a story that Motorola Droid Turbo owners have been anxiously looking forward to, they have had to wait for a considerably long time just to get a taste of Lollipop on their handsets. Previously the company was going to release Android 5.0 for this device but then it decided that the Droid Turbo will be upgraded directly to Android 5.1 but that meant more wait. It was reported a couple of weeks back that the release was near and today the company has finally started the soak test for the Android 5.1 update for Droid Turbo.

Motorola sent out a tweet a while ago through its official Twitter account thanking Droid Turbo owners for their patience regarding the Lollipop update, also adding that the update is “coming to a #DROIDTurbo near you.”

Multiple reports have come in so far that the initial stage of the roll out is now underway, Motorola has started the soak test for Android 5.1 Lollipop for Droid Turbo with build 23.11.38.

Once the soak test is done with and everything goes off smoothly the company will roll out the update to remaining users, who will no doubt be anxious now to finally get the Lollipop update after months of wait.

Droid Turbo owners will get a whole new look and feel on Lollipop as well as several new features that come as part and parcel of Android 5.1.
