htc-logo-sketchHTC is a company that typically rolls out one flagship smartphone a year which is what they have done with the HTC One M9 that was announced earlier this year. Since then the company has released multiple variants of the HTC One M9 and have also introduced some low-mid range handsets that are part of its Desire series.

That being said, is that all we can expect from HTC this year? As it turns out the Taiwanese company has more up their sleeves than we previously thought, and that the company will be announcing a new series of smartphones before the year is out. This is according to HTC’s chairwoman Cher Wang who revealed the news during the company’s recent shareholders meeting.

Now we’re not sure what we can expect from this new series of smartphones. Could we be looking at a new lineup of phones that isn’t part of the company’s “One” and “Desire” lineup? Could we be possibly looking at a second flagship smartphone which follows in the footsteps of Sony and Samsung, both of whom tend to release more than one flagship a year?

We suppose it’s still a bit too early to tell, but if you’re a fan of HTC and you’re hoping that there’s more to the company than the HTC One M9, do check back with us at a later date for the details. In the meantime what do you guys think HTC could be up to?
