dropboxIn the past we have seen OEMs launch phones that offer up free cloud storage, although admittedly some of these offers are with services that aren’t as mainstream. If you’re looking for a more mainstream cloud storage service with your phone, Dropbox is a safe bet and the good news is that if you’re planning on buying the OnePlus One, you can look forward to free Dropbox storage.

It has been announced that starting 10th of June, the OnePlus One will temporarily be sold for $349 where it will also come with a free one year subscription to a Dropbox Pro account. Basically this version of Dropbox will give you more than a few gigabytes – it will give you a whopping 1TB of cloud storage that you can use in any way that you like.

However like we said this is only for a year’s subscription and if you’d to continue accessing that 1TB of cloud storage, you can expect to pay $9.99 a month or $99 a year if you were to buy a year’s subscription outright. It should also be noted that this is applicable to the 64GB OnePlus One model, so it looks like other models will not be getting this promotion.

It will also only be available in North American and European markets, so for those who are planning on buying the phone in other parts of the world, it looks like you guys will have to sit this one out. In the meantime the company is expected to announce the OnePlus 2 come Q3 2015, but we’re not sure if this offer will be similarly extended to the phone.
