oppo-joy3Not everyone is able to afford a high end smartphone, due to the cost, and even if it is offered at a ridiculously low price by mobile carriers (as in certain cases), you can be sure that the monthly contract would not be the most affordable of the lot, either. Having said that, there is always room for a mid-range handset, or even those that tether on the brink of the budget smartphone family, and Oppo has done just that with their latest model, the Oppo Joy 3.

It ought to be noted that the Oppo Joy 3 has decided to give the Joy 2 a miss, where this handset is all set to continue from where the Oppo Joy Plus left off. Interesting thing is, the Oppo Joy Plus is not all that ancient either, taking into consideration how it was announced just earlier this year. The Oppo Joy 3 will feature a metallic-like frame that will run through all of the sides, and as for the display, you get a 4.5” IPS TFT screen at 854 x 480 pixel resolution. Apart from that, Oppo has also powered it with a quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 mobile chipset that will feature a Mali-400MP2 graphics chipset, accompanied by 1GB RAM and 4GB of internal memory. It will boot to the ColorOS 2.0 that is based on Android 4.4 KitKat.

Other hardware specifications include a 5MP shooter at the back with a microSD memory card slot, and a 2MP shooter in front. Pricing details for this smartphone has yet to be confirmed.
