Pokemon fans might be aware that a game called Pokemon Shuffle was released earlier this year as a free-to-play title for the Nintendo 3DS. It didn’t take long for this game to become popular with Nintendo 3DS owners, but if you didn’t have that handheld console you couldn’t play this game. That changes within a few months as it has been confirmed that later this year Pokemon Shuffle will be released for iOS and Android devices.

Nintendo has confirmed this through a press release, adding that later this year Pokemon Shuffle Mobile will be released for iOS and Android across the globe. The title will be available through the App Store and the Google Play Store.

Nintendo didn’t provide a confirmed release date for Pokemon Shuffle Mobile but the trailer which accompanies the press release shows that it will be available as a free download for both platforms.

On the 3DS this title saw close to five million downloads and it’s expected that it will continue its streak over on iOS and Android, two platforms that power devices that are far greater in number out there than the 3DS handheld.

Check out the Pokemon Shuffle Mobile trailer above if this game interests you, we’ll let you know as soon as a confirmed release date is provided.
