Google maps real time transit

Google is on a spree to enhance the navigation experience for the users, the company is now going to add yet another big feature to Google Maps. The new feature is — real time transit information, although the Public Transportation feature has been there all along, but today it has received major real-time tweaks.

The application will come handy for the travelers by providing them variety of options to choose if they’re running late or details about how long they have to wait at a particular place before they reach the destination. Not only this, Google will also stack up relevant or forthcoming journeys in an easy to view card format so that users can easily keep track of them.

Users will also be receiving information about the arrival of metros, buses or subway system on your smartphone or smartwatch. It will also inform the users about the canceled routes, all this can make traveling pretty much easier for the tourists as they can have a clear idea about the schedule and routes in major cities all over the world.

The feature is now being brought to two more countries and four new metro areas. Google is already in collaboration with more than hundred partners to get transit information. Google is trying to inculcate 25 more such partners in six new places UK, Netherlands, Budapest, Chicago, San Francisco and Seattle. Public transit information was already available at these places, but now they will also get real-time information.
