batman-arkham-knight-1Yesterday we reported that while many were eager to play Batman: Arkham Knight on the PC, the PC version of the game was off to a very rocky start in which there were multiple complaints of the game stuttering and experiencing framerates as low as 4fps on some computers. The developers at Rocksteady have acknowledged the issue but an expanded response seems to have incensed players further.

The developer has since posted additional details on the forums in which they recommend some of the settings be changed in order for gamers to best enjoy the game. This includes settings for gamers who have met the minimum hardware requirements as well as gamers who have the recommended hardware requirements.

Essentially it seems that the developers are asking gamers to either turn most of the graphics settings off or to low or normal. They also note that gamers with AMD GPUs might encounter some additional issues and that for these gamers who have met the recommended specs that they should turn everything to low.

Now this seems like hardly the kind of settings most gamers would want to play at, especially if you have shelled out for a high-end rig, with gamers on the forums sarcastically claiming that maybe it’s about time that they “retire” the i7 gaming rigs. In any case hopefully Rocksteady will come up with a better solution soon, but in the meantime if you are thinking of getting the game, maybe you’ll want to hold off on purchasing it for now.
