Samsung today announced that it has inked a global marketing partnership with Universal Pictures for the purpose of promoting Jurassic World, the much awaited upcoming movie in the iconic Jurassic Park series from Steven Spielberg. During this promotion Samsung is going to leverage some of its products with content from the film to jointly promote the two in the run up to the release of this movie.

Signs of this partnership appeared about a week back when Samsung revealed that it would be offering a look at exclusive footage from the Jurassic World movie at participating Best Buy outlets across the country, the idea was to get more eyeballs for its new SUHD TVs.

Under this promotion exclusive content from the Jurassic World movie will be displayed on Samsung SUHD TVs at retail stores across the country until the movie’s release on June 12th. The partnership with Universal also brought Samsung presence at the Jurassic World premiere and post-party.

Won Pyo Hong, President and Chief Marketing Officer, Samsung Electronics said “Partnering with Universal Pictures provides us with a unique opportunity to show our innovative technology and create an integrated marketing campaign tied to one of the biggest movies of the year.”

Jurassic World hits the big screen across the globe on June 12th.
