samsung logoAccording to an earlier report, it turns out that despite the somewhat slow start and negative reviews of the Samsung Z1 handset, the device proved to be a rather popular phone and went on to sell over a million units in half a year. With that being said it doesn’t come as a surprise to learn that Samsung could have more Tizen devices in the pipeline.

A report from Reuters has revealed that Samsung is indeed planning more Tizen handsets for 2015. Unfortunately the report did not mention what kind of handsets we could be looking at, but apparently they will be priced differently meaning that there should be some mid-ranged handsets in the works as well. Unsurprisingly Samsung has declined to comment on the rumors.

Last we heard, Samsung was working on another Tizen handset dubbed the Samsung Z2 which was presumed to be the successor to the Samsung Z1. However with this new report, it seems that Samsung has more than one Tizen phone in the works, which we suppose is an indication that the company believes that the platform is starting to take off.

No word on when these phones might be launched, but Samsung usually unveils new products at IFA which is scheduled for September later this year, so maybe we will learn more then, so be sure to check back with us then for the details.
