Magic: The Gathering is probably one of the most popular card games in real-life at the moment, and while it has a digital form, it’s hard to compete against Blizzard’s Hearthstone which has been gaining a lot of traction in the previous years. However it looks like Bethesda does not want Blizzard to hog all the glory (and revenue).

During E3 2015, the company has unveiled their own Hearthstone competitor in the form of The Elder Scrolls: Legends. Just like Hearthstone, this will be a card playing game based on The Elder Scrolls universe. It will also be a free-to-play game and while details of the game have yet to be made available, we can only assume that purchasing additional cards within the game will cost players real-life money.

The game is expected to be released on both the PC and iPad in the fall of 2015. No word on Android but presumably an Android version of the game will most probably be in the works as well. There was also no mention of support for smartphones either, something that Blizzard has recently done a couple of months ago, but hopefully there will be a mobile version in the works.

Like we said, not much is known about the game at the moment apart from the announcement and platform availability, but hopefully we will learn more soon, but in the meantime gamers can check out the teaser trailer in the video above.
