The launch of Ultra Street Fighter 4 for PlayStation 4 didn’t exactly go smoothly, rather players were irked by countless issues and bugs. It was clear that an unfinished game had been pushed out just to meet the deadline and Sony was quick to confirm that it would release a patch to address these issues. The first Ultra Street Fighter 4 for PS4 patch has been released today and it fixes many of the problems that players have faced since launch.

Sony Computer Entertainment has confirmed that the new patch for this title, version 1.02, is rolling out today and it will fix audio and visual bugs present in this title for the PlayStation 4.

Today’s patch will addresses disappearing projectiles and online IDs not appearing correctly, reduces interface lag within menus, removes an extra character which was displayed sometimes in Leaderboards at the end of a players name among other things.

A number of visual bugs have been fixed as well, such as missing SFX for Red Focus attack and Akuma’s stomp SFX not playing. It also fixes an issue when seeking Arcade match-up with LAN cable disconnected, and addresses the Fight Request issue in Arcade Mode.

Input lag was one of the major issues that players faced with Ultra Street Fighter 4 and given the kind of game this is, input lag is seriously not acceptable since it messes up the entire gameplay experience. Hopefully players will notice a difference after they’ve installed this patch.
