Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 owners have waited for quite a long time to get a taste of Lollipop and their wait finally ends today. Verizon has started to roll out the Lollipop update for this tablet, only weeks after it released Android 5.0.2 for the Galaxy Tab S 10.5. It’s certainly about time that this tablet received the much awaited Lollipop update and users got to experience everything that’s new in the software.

As is the case with all Lollipop updates, users should expect a revamped user interface with Material Design elements. This means new animations and flashes of color which lend a bright and modern feel to the overall user interface.

Then there are the new features, lots of them, which are part and parcel of Lollipop. Also included in the update is the usual slew of bug fixes and performance improvements.

Software version T707VVRU1BOD4 is being rolled out today by Verizon for the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, it will bump up the tablet to Android 5.0.2. The update is going to come in at around 1GB so users should ensure that they’re connected to a good Wi-Fi network before downloading the update.

Given that it has taken Verizon so long to release Lollipop for this tablet, it goes without saying that users shouldn’t keep their fingers crossed for Android 5.1 to arrive for the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 in the very near future.
