If you have the Surface 3, there is a good chance that you might be curious about Windows 10 and want to install it on your device. Unfortunately it seems that the latest build of Windows 10 is giving Surface 3 owners some issues. According to reports, if you’re trying to install Windows 10 build 10130, your tablet will freeze at the BIOS screen.

Now it seems that this is an issue that Microsoft has acknowledged. According to head of the Windows Insiders program Gabrsurface-3-1iel Aul, Microsoft is aware of the issue and are advising users to not install this particular build yet until the issue is fixed. “10130 is a no-go for Surface 3. We have a bug that is unique to CherryTrail systems in that build. Relief is coming soon though.”

No word on when the fix will be arriving, but hopefully it will be soon. In the meantime for those with Surface 3 tablets and are wondering why they can’t get the latest build of Windows 10 to install, hopefully you have your answer. That being said, Microsoft has planned for a release of Windows 10 come 29th of July.

So even if Microsoft doesn’t get the fix out before then, you guys only have a little less than 2 months of waiting for its official release. In the meantime we will keep an eye out for the release so do check back with us in the coming weeks for more updates!
