zenpad8Are you on the lookout for a new tablet? If you have answered in the affirmative, then you might be interested to know that the Intel-powered ASUS ZenPad 8 that runs on Android Lollipop has arrived Stateside. The mid-range ZenPad 8 Z580C is now available over at the likes of BestBuy, B&H and Adorama, selling for $200 a pop.

At that price range, it is definitely affordable, so let us dive into the hardware specifications so that you know for sure just what you are getting into. The ASUS ZenPad S 8 Z580C will arrive with 32GB of internal memory, where its 8” display will treat your eyes to a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels at a 4:3 aspect ratio and a 320PPI pixel density. Underneath the hood lies an Intel Atom Z3530 processor, a 5MP camera behind and a 2MP selfie shooter.

There will also be an entry-level Intel ZenPad 8 Z380C that can be pre-ordered from B&H and Adorama with an asking price of $130, where that model will feature an 8” 1280 x 800 resolution display and 189PPI pixel density, a 1.2GHz quad-core Rockchip-made Intel x3-C3200 processor, 1GB RAM, and 16GB of internal memory. Since these are extremely affordable tablet models, do not expect them to be on part in terms of performance with the flagships that you see around in the market.
