Want to get your Instagram photos printed? In the past we’ve seen pretty novel ways of printing your Instagram photos, with companies offering to print them in marshmallow form, while another might offer to print them in a chocolate block. Now if you’d prefer something that wasn’t edible or perishable, Forever 21’s got your back.

The clothing company has been working for the past year and a half with Brooklyn-based ad agency Breakfast to create a machine that will be able to print Instagram photos in thread. Basically your Instagram photos will be recreated in thread which we suppose you could choose to hang up on a wall, which is actually pretty awesome.

According to the description of the machine, it’s actually a pretty crazy setup. It seems that it will feature 6,400 wooden spools with rainbow ribbons that will spin to help change between 36 different colors, with each spool acting as a pixel. Users who want to see their photos printed can do so by hashtagging their photos with #F21ThreadScreen, with the livestream being available via a dedicated website.

Of course this isn’t a permanent installation and it will only last from now until next Tuesday, so if you want to get in on the action, you’ll have to move quickly. In the meantime you can check out the videos above and below to see the machine in action.
