iphone-6-schematics-leaked

Smartphone customers are accustomed to getting thinner devices with every next generation but if purported iPhone 6s schematics claimed to have been leaked are to be believed then this time around iPhone customers will be getting a slightly thicker device. Dimensions mentioned in the schematics show that the iPhone 6s just might be slightly thicker than its predecessor, the iPhone 6.

It’s too soon to assume that what we see here is correct and this is precisely how the iPhone 6s is going to turn out, but if we do consider the possibility for a moment, could the next generation iPhone be slightly thicker because it may house a larger battery?

Many iPhone fans might like that since battery life can always be improved upon and the handset doesn’t really lead the market in terms of battery capacity, so perhaps that trade-off can be made.

Another reason for this might be the rumored 12 megapixel camera module that’s expected in the iPhone 6s so that could also warrant a slightly thicker handset.

These schematics peg the next iPhone’s thickness at 7.10mm as opposed to 6.9mm on the iPhone 6. It certainly isn’t a major change that will make the device feel very bulky or large but these things don’t go unnoticed, lets just hope Apple has a good enough reason for doing this which its fans ultimately come to understand.
