CortanaMicrosoft has just revealed that they will be having an entirely new suite of hosted analytic services that will be named after Cortana. For those who have just crawled out from a hole somewhere, Cortana happens to be the software giant’s personal assistant software when it comes to smartphones. Apart from that, Microsoft is also preparing to begin support for Apache Spark on Azure, where Azure happens to be its public cloud platform.

For those who are more than happy with their existing Windows-powered smartphone, you would probably know what Cortana is all about. Cortana, the seemingly accurate sports pundit, offers a silky smooth female voice that performs a range of digital chores on your behalf. The new Cortana Analytics Suite will see the personal assistant role surface, as well as obtain some rather copious amounts of data in it.

This new suite that Microsoft unveiled at its Worldwide Partner Conference earlier today happens to be a mix of both new and existing data analytic capabilities from Microsoft, where it will be packaged and sold as an integrated offering, accompanied by simple monthly subscription. You can look forward to this particular offering some time this fall, although no concrete date has been set just yet.
