moto_g_2015Just yesterday the Moto G (2015) was officially announced. For US customers, it was revealed that they could buy the phone from either Motorola’s website or from Best Buy, but for those who would much rather buy it from another channel, perhaps a carrier who will offer it at a discount on contract, you’re in luck.

Motorola Mobility has recently tweeted that the next-gen Moto G is also expected to make its way to Virgin Mobile, Virgin Data Done Right, and US Cellular over the next few months. They did not mention when exactly but presumably the dates might differ from carrier to carrier, so you will want to keep an eye out for any news regarding its release.

In terms of pricing, chances are it will be kept the same as Motorola’s offer, which is $179.99 for the 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage model, and $219.99 for the 2GB of RAM and 16GB model. We can’t say for sure if Virgin Mobile or US Cellular will offer a contract with the Moto G (2015), but even if they didn’t both models are priced rather affordably to begin with.

Now for those who might have missed the news, here’s a quick recap. The Moto G (2015) will come with a 5-inch HD display. Under the hood, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor can be found along with a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, Moto Maker access, and a 2,470mAh battery. There are two different models with the differences being its RAM and storage capacity which we mentioned above.
