We expect that later this year, Motorola will be announcing new handsets in the form of a new Moto X and a new Moto G. However interestingly enough thanks to a telco over in Chile, it seems that specs belonging to that of a certain Moto X Sport and Moto G (2015) have been leaked.

The specs were obtained by Chilean tech blog Pisapapeles (via Android Guys) and this is actually the first time we are hearing about the Moto X Sport. Now from what we can tell, it does not seem to have been designed as the successor to the Moto X. Instead if anything it sounds like a slightly downgraded model.

The handset will keep the same 5.2-inch display, but will sport a slower processor at 1.5GHz versus the Moto X’s 2.5GHz quad-core chipset. It will on the other hand feature an upgraded camera at 16MP and a 5MP front-facing camera, both of which are improvements over its predecessor. Also judging by its name, we wouldn’t be surprised if it was water/dust-resistant.

As for the Moto G (2015), we have been hearing about the phone for a while now. The leak seems to corroborate earlier claims of a 5-inch display, a 13MP rear-facing camera, and a 5MP front-facing camera. It is also said to feature a 1.4GHz quad-core processor although the make and model remain unknown. Both phones are also rumored for an August launch.
