Earlier this year Blizzard announced the latest Hearthstone expansion in the form of Blackrock Mountain which came shortly on the heels of the previous expansion, Goblins vs Gnomes. However it looks like Blizzard will not be slowing the Hearthstone train down anytime soon because a new expansion is already in the works.
According to the folks at PCGamer, they have received a package from Blizzard containing a scroll (see video above). According to the scroll it reads, “Champions are gathering from around the world to witness the next exciting thing Hearthstone has in store. News travels far and wide in search of brave new faces ready to answer the call to arms — Are you one of them?”
It also mentions, “Muster for battle and mark July 22 on your calendar. The next bit of news won’t come by carrier pigeon — thankfully, we have much better ways of communication now. Victory awaits.” Unfortunately apart from this message, not much is known about the next expansion.
However as some fans have noticed that when the scroll is opened, the fanfare played is the theme from the Argent Tournament, which some have taken to indicate that this expansion could focus on content from the Wrath of the Lich King expansion for World of Warcraft. In any case we guess we will have to wait so do check back with us on the 22nd of July for the details.
