If you’re looking for external hardware controls to help you with video editing, photo editing, music making, and more, there are plenty of devices out there for the job. However Palette is a modular controller setup that lets you dictate how you want your setup to look. The good news is that if this sounds like something you might be interested in, it is currently up for pre-order.

paletteFor those who are hearing about Palette for the first time, the concept was initially launched on Kickstarter back in 2013. Basically it’s a series of various controllers such as buttons, dials, and sliders, all of which can be joined and linked together, or removed depending on your needs. This means that it is essentially a one-size-fits-all tool, versus users having to buy different sets of controllers for different activities.

Palette_Ted_assemblingLike we said, the Kickstarter project was a success and the Palette controllers are now available for pre-order where it will cost $199 for the basic setup. This will include two buttons and a slider. There will be an Expert setup priced at $299, a Professional setup for $499, and there’s even a limited edition model made out of cherry wood for $899.

Users will be able to purchase additional controllers as required, so it’s really up to you how much you plan on spending to get your entire setup up and running. To place a pre-order, just head on over to Palette’s website for the details.
