kotorupdateStar Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II looks set be under the limelight yet again, where it will no longer have to hang out in a dusty store room. Over 10 years after the game was released in December 2004, developer Obsidian’s title has been given a new lease of life – and it will be on the following platforms: Mac, PC and Linux, courtesy of Aspyr. Of course, there will be more than meets the eye.

For instance, there will be 37 gameplay achievements thrown into the mix, in addition to the likes of Steam Cloud saves, widescreen support, up to 5K resolution support (Wow! Talk about blowing your eyes away!) as well as the option to make use of gamepads (you will be able to enjoy the ones that play nice with the PS4 and its predecessor, as well as the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One), with Steam Workshop support so that one gains the ability to make and use mods.

With some mentioning that Knights of the Old Republic II happens to be the best-told Star Wars tale regaled until now, but this does not mean that it is some sort of epic tale in the vein of Lord of the Rings, except that it is set in a space setting, of course.
