apple music

Yesterday Apple released iOS 8.4 and with it launched Apple Music. The new music streaming service is aided by a revamped internet radio service which also went live, the first worldwide internet radio station is now live for users on iOS, OS X and Windows. Apple has promised that an Apple Music app for Android will be available later this year but if you just can’t wait to hear the tunes Beats 1 is pumping out, there is a way to stream Beats 1 on Android but it’s not an official method.

Benji R, a Twitter user, came across an unencrypted HTTP live streaming URL of Beats 1 which he then posted online, so in order to stream Beats 1 on Android all you have to do is click here when browsing through your Android device.

The stream works with devices that are running Android version 4.1 or later so devices from a couple of years back are capable of streaming Beats 1 through this link.

It’s likely that Apple will shut down the stream since it has gained a lot of popularity after Benji tweeted about it but until that happens you too can get to listen in on Beats 1.

As for when the official Apple Music app for Android will arrive, the company says that we should expected it this fall.
