Microsoft showed off its gigantic Surface Hub computers a few months back and recently the company confirmed that it will soon start allowing people to purchase them. Surface Hub computers are available in 55 inch and 84 inch models, they’re primarily meant to replace expensive conference room communication equipment with a single solution that provides a full fledged computer, web-conferencing tools and much more in just one package that can be mounted on the wall.

Pricing has already been confirmed by the company, the 55 inch Surface Hub costs $6,999 whereas the 84 inch model is going to cost customers a cool $19,999.

The pricing makes it evident that Microsoft isn’t targeting this product towards the average home user, instead it’s meant more for the enterprise.

Microsoft is of the view that the Surface Hub offers a strong value proposition to customers since it’s much cheaper to install this instead of conventional audio visual equipment for a conference room which can actually end up costing more than what customers would pay for the Surface Hub.

The Surface Hub can function as a full fledged computer that runs Windows 10, there are apps that allow it to work as a whiteboard as well, besides that it has apps that might be important in the workplace such as Office, OneNote and Skype.

Microsoft has issued a list of partners that can assist interested customers in purchasing the Surface Hub, the company is going to start shipping out units by this September.
