last-of-us-olly-mossThe vinyl was the standard that people consumed their music from back in the day. However unlike the cassette tape, it seems that the vinyl managed to survive technology’s evolution and is rising in popularity today, so much so that over in the UK they had to launch a special vinyls chart due to its popularity.

In fact we’ve seen companies take advantage of the trend by releasing soundtracks for video games in vinyl, and the good news is that if you are a fan of vinyl and love collecting them, you might be interested to learn that The Last of Us will be getting its soundtrack released on vinyl accompanied by artwork by Jay Shaw and Olly Moss, as you can see in the image above.

It looks extremely beautiful and upon first glance you would never have thought it belonged to the soundtrack of a video game. That being said, it does not come cheap with it priced at $75, however we suppose this is most probably aimed at collectors and hardcore fans of the game. Chances are it will probably sell out really quickly too so come this Wednesday, the 22nd of July, you’ll want to keep your eyes peeled for it, lest you end up having to scour the likes of eBay or Craigslist for a more expensive copy.
