The first look of the Turing Phone was revealed in April, the device promised high built-quality with supreme security. Today, Turing Robotic Industries have announced the pre-order service for the device. It will be available for pre-order on the manufacturer’s website.

In accordance with a press release by TRI, pre-ordering for the device will kick off on July 1st and the first model to go on the platform would be the base-level 16GB variant with a starting price of $610. The Turing Phone garnered lot of attention with its first glimpse in April, with its liquid metal finish, which is touted by the company to be stronger than steel. The device will offer high level security to the user, it follows end-to-end encryption, which creates a secured communication network that cannot be rigged by third-parties.

The device boasts strengthened finish that makes it shock-absorbent, which means that the device would be fine even after user drops it on the floor. It comes certified with IPx8 water-resistant technology and can survive under 30 feet of water level. The device has cool outlook, but it is not sleek. At a time when other manufactures are focusing more on the sleek outlook, the Turing Phone has given more weightage to sturdiness.

Powering the Turing Phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 CPU paired with 3GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop and features a 5.5-inch display is a full-HD display with 1080 x 1920 resolution. TRI will be launching the device in four more colors and configuration on July 22nd. The company also has plans to roll out Turing Library SDK sometime next year.
