There are many Android OEMs in the market today. Some of which you might not have heard of, and Ubik might be one of them. However despite their relatively unknown status, it seems that the company has a pretty decent smartphone in the works dubbed the Uno, and they have taken to Kickstarter to help fund it and make it a reality.

The device looks pretty good in terms of design. It will feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display which is a bit of bummer since we would have preferred QHD, but for the most part we’re not sure if many can even tell the difference, plus going Full HD will probably see your phone’s battery thank you for it.

Under the hood, the Ubik Uno will be powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek processor. It will be accompanied by 3GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, and a 20MP rear-facing camera that takes advantage of Sony’s Exmor sensor with an f/2.2 aperture with support for 4K video recording.

Its front camera isn’t too shabby either with its 5MP sensor. It will come with Android 5.1 Lollipop preinstalled and will be sold for $345, although those who support its Kickstarter can get their hands on it for $280. Shipping, if the project is successful, is expected to commence in Q4 2015.
