Wargaming announced World of Warships last year and as the name suggests in this game players take control of full-sized naval warships against foes in a multiplayer setting. The concept itself is appealing if you’re into such games and this one has been developed with extreme precision, with warships being made up of 500 individual elements. With the closed beta for this title reaching its end, Wargaming has now launched the World of Warships open beta.

A new trailer for the title was released as well which shows how players would go about sending other warships to the bottom of the sea in action packed battles.

There’s a lot of close-quarter battles in this title with some complex and interesting locations being chosen for the battles, the developers have paid extra attention to make the guns and historical parameters of the ships as accurate as possible.

More than 400,000 players participated in the closed beta of World of Warships, it allowed players to captain combat warships from the second World War.

The open beta gives players access to some 80 warships from the U.S., Japan, Soviet Union and Britain across 10 different maps as well as 12 v 12 multiplayer online support.

The signup process for the open beta begins over at the World of Warships website.
