xiaomi-mi-tablet-windows-10It seems that the good people over at Xiaomi are working on a spanking new tablet that is ready and waiting to be released down the road – and this particular tablet will run on the Windows 10 platform. While global tablet sales are not exactly the benchmark of encouragement of late, this does not mean that companies should stop churning out tablets, right? After all, it still commands a sizeable market share where consumer electronics are concerned, and an analyst, Pan Jiutang, has stepped forward to claim that Xiaomi will introduce a new Windows 10-powered tablet some time in the third quarter of the year, although a more specific launch date would be much appreciated.

Still, this particular time window would mean it could be released anytime between now until the end of September. We do know that Xiaomi is working hard to ensure that their latest MIUI (Xiaomi’s customized version of Android) version will be able to debut without any hiccups this coming 16th of August, and perhaps that might be when additional hints of such a tablet will be dropped.

However, to make an announcement of a Windows 10 device while rolling out a new Android overlay might not go down too well regardless of which camp you support, either. I suppose we will just have to wait for the passage of time to reveal – or deny, whatever we have heard so far.
