youxia-xChina, the world’s second largest economy, has certainly done its part in going up the manufacturing food chain, and you would be surprised that Chinese startup Youxia Motors has just made an announcement of its very first production car – and it will be all-electric, to boot. This particular model would be the Youxia X, and while it is not quite the rip-off that other Chinese cars were, the design is said to be inspired by the Tesla Model S, while one can also see semblances of Lexus, Audi and Maserati rides, too. However, one must note that there is no truly original design these days, or it is rather difficult to find one that is offered from scratch.

The Youxia X will feature an LCD grille which will be able to light up like KITT’s from Knight Rider, showing off the company’s logo as well as other visuals. There is also an operating system to run the car that is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, where it is known as KITT OS. The Youxia X’s designer, after all, is reportedly a huge Knight Rider fan.

Performance of the Youxia X ain’t too shabby at all, boasting of an acceleration of zero to 62 mph in 5.6 seconds, with a 348-horsepower electric motor powering it, where owners can choose from either a 40 kWh, 60 kWh or 85 kWh battery. The largest battery available would offer a range of approximately 167 miles, where half an hour at a Supercharger station should be able to juice it up. Hopefully with Android running it, it will not be hit by malware.
