Now that Windows 10 has been released Microsoft can start ringing up OEM partners that haven’t put out a Windows powered product in quite some time and maybe convince them to give the platform another shot. Samsung has made several Windows powered mobile devices in the past but recently things have been slow on that front, however rumor has it that Samsung could be working on a new 12 inch tablet that’s powered by Windows 10.

This is the first that we’re hearing of a new 12 inch tablet at Samsung that doesn’t run Android, some suggest that this tablet might be launched around the same time as the Microsoft Surface Pro 4, which is expected this October.

Purported details from an unofficial source suggest that the tablet might have a 14nm Intel Core M processor hooked up to 4GB of RAM, this would be housed underneath a 12 inch display with either 2,560×1,600 or 3,840×2,400 resolution. For all we know the tablet may also have an S Pen.

The same unofficial source says that Samsung’s new Windows 10 tablet weighs just 600 grams and measures in at 6.2mm thin. No details have been provided yet regarding pricing or availability, Samsung is tightlipped on the matter and hasn’t confirmed if it really has a Windows 10 powered tablet that will be launched at some point later this year.
