If you have been looking to purchase a new Android tablet on AT&T then the latest addition to the carrier’s lineup might be of interest to you, it’s a new LG tablet with LTE support that AT&T has launched today. The LG G Pad X 10.1 is going to be sold online in the first week of September before it’s sold through retail stores later on. Even though it has a different moniker from the specifications it seems that this tablet is a slightly tweaked version of the recently released LG G Pad II 10.1.

AT&T says that the LG G Pad X 10.1 has a 2.2GHz quadcore processor under the hood with a 10.1 inch LCD display and a 7,400mAh battery. The specifications match that of the LG G Pad II 10.1 so that tweaked variant theory doesn’t seem too far-fetched.

Capitalizing on its recent merger with DirecTV the carrier is also pushing a DirecTV app with this tablet, however it will really only serve any purpose for those who are already subscribed to DirecTV.

AT&T is selling the LG G Pad X 10.1 for $249.99 with a two year service contract or for equal monthly payments of $17.50 per month for 20 months. Online sales start September 4th and the tablet arrives in the carrier’s stores by September 11th.
