bethesda-at-E31Unlike bigger studios or publishers, Bethesda does not have a fixed release schedule for their games, but apparently this is something the company wants to change. In a recent interview with the folks at MCV, Bethesda’s Pete Hines revealed that ultimately they would like to grow to the point where they can release as many as 3-4 big titles a year.

According to Hines, he states, “We are pretty aware of who we are and we ultimately want to build to a point where we are doing three or four big titles a year.” He also adds that regular releases is something he’d like to see the company work towards in the future, although he does not envision it being as many as 8-10 games a year.

“I would prefer not to be in the same place we were in in 2011, where we had four titles and then went super quiet. I want to avoid that. We want to get to the point of regular releases, ‘but we are not thinking: ‘What if we did eight or 10 games a year?’ That’s just not who we are or how we do things,” Hines said.

It’s actually an interesting sentiment as earlier this year, Hines said that Bethesda’s presence at E3 might not be an annual thing as the company does not release multiple games a year, but we suppose if they were to grow to that point, it would change things. In the meantime how does the idea of multiple Bethesda releases a year sound to you? Yay or nay?
