Back at the Mobile World Congress 2015 BlackBerry showed off a new flagship device that it’s going to release later this year, codenamed Venice the device is a slider smartphone with dual curved edge display that many believe will be powered by Android. BB hasn’t confirmed the handset’s operating system and contrary to previous reports that it might be exclusive to AT&T in the United States, there’s word now that the BlackBerry Venice may also be launched on T-Mobile.

Not too long ago BlackBerry and T-Mobile had a rather public falling out and after a break of a few months the two companies have repaired their relationship, so it wouldn’t be surprising if the carrier decides to sell BlackBerry’s new flagship handset after all.

Infamous Twitter leaker @evleaks claims on the microblogging website that the BlackBerry Venice is slated to be added to T-Mobile’s lineup as well, though he doesn’t say when this is going to happen.

BlackBerry has not yet confirmed when it’s going to hold an event to unveil its flagship smartphone for 2015 but seeing as how the previous announcement was made over the fall, it’s likely we may have to wait for a couple of months before an announcement is made.

It will be interesting to see how this device is received in the market, the slider form factor with a full QWERTY keyboard isn’t common these days, but then again so aren’t square smartphones like the BlackBerry Passport.
