In a break from tradition the first beta of the upcoming Call of Duty title is exclusive to the PlayStation 4 for the weekend, gamers on PC and Xbox One will have to wait for a few days before they can get in on the action as well. A few days back the first Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 beta went live and initially it was only open to those PS4 owners who pre-ordered the game, developer Treyarch has confirmed that the beta is now open to all gamers on PlayStation 4.

The confirmation came through a tweet posted on Treyarch’s official Twitter account: “Let’s dial this up a notch. The @PlayStation 4 #BO3Beta is now open for all PS4 players. Let’s go!”

Aside from opening up the beta for all PS4 gamers Treyarch has also increased the game’s current level cap and added a new multiplayer map, some other minor tweaks have also been made.

The beta is open on PlayStation 4 until tomorrow while Xbox One and PC gamers are likely to get it starting August 26th, it’s unclear at this point in time if the beta will be opened up for everyone on those platforms as well like it has been opened up on PS4.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be released on November 6th 2015 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.
