Samsung-Galaxy-Note-5-19

Many fans of Samsung’s Galaxy Note series aren’t happy with the fact that the new handset has a smaller battery that can’t even be removed, to be fair though the writing was on the wall when earlier this year Samsung’s new Galaxy S series handsets also ditched removable batteries. Samsung can make amends by offering a variant with a larger battery, rumor has it that a Galaxy Note 5 Active is in the pipeline, it will have a 4100mAh battery and will arrive this November.

Samsung is not a stranger to “Active” variants, these handsets are water and dust resistance with bigger batteries, the Galaxy S6 Active is a prime example of such a variant.

Word on the street is that a Galaxy Note 5 Active variant is in the pipeline and that it will arrive this November, it may be exclusive to AT&T in the United States just like the Galaxy S6 Active.

Aside from the 4100mAh battery this variant is likely to feature IP68 waterproofing certification, the other specifications are likely going to be the same as the Galaxy Note 5.

Samsung has not officially confirmed the existence of such a variant so I would be a bit cautious for now, take this rumor with a grain of salt until something official comes up.
