galaxy-s6-vs-galaxy-s6-edge_04Just the other day we reported that Samsung had announced during its earnings call that they would be adjusting the prices of its flagship handsets the Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge. This was done in order to help both handsets maintain its sales momentum, which many had interpreted to mean that price cuts were in order.

It was unclear as to when the cuts would begin, but it looks like it already has. According to a report from Androidworld, it seems that Samsung has already made price cuts to both the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge over in the Netherlands. The handsets have had their price adjust to €599 for the Galaxy S6 which represents a €100 cut, while the Galaxy S6 Edge saw a €150 price cut which dropped it down to €699.

Those are some pretty substantial cuts but for now it only appears to have affected the Netherlands, but presumably with Samsung’s plans to adjust prices, eventually we should see those price cuts make its way to other markets in the near future. So if you were thinking about picking up a Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge, maybe waiting a couple of weeks might be a good idea.

In the meantime Samsung has an event planned for the 13th of August where the company’s new flagships, the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ are expected to be announced, so if you’d prefer getting your hands on the latest tech from Samsung, perhaps you’ll want to wait for those devices too.
