iphone-6s-shoplemonde-02The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus have been confirmed for a 9th of September launch. So far we know that the phone will be available in at least three different colors – silver, space grey, and gold. However recent rumors have suggested we could be looking at a rose gold option, and if you’re wondering if that is true, it could very well be.

9to5Mac has reported that their sources have informed them that a rose gold iPhone 6s and 6s Plus option is the real deal. Given the publication’s reputation and track record for these leaks and rumors, there is some credibility to their claims. However according to them, it will not look exactly the same as the rose gold Apple Watch.

Instead it will apparently be a variation of the gold iPhone 5s in 2013 except that it will have a more copper-tinge to it, and obviously unlike the Apple Watch, the rose gold iPhone option will not actually be made out of gold, but rather anodized aluminum like the rest of the phone, so you can rest easy if you’re thinking Apple will want to charge $10,000 for such an option.

According to the rumors, we have also heard that Apple will be making other aesthetic changes like introducing Apple Watch Motion-like wallpapers to the phone, which at this point is unclear if it is an exclusive to the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, or it will be part of iOS 9. Either way we suppose we’ll just have to wait until the 9th of September to find out.
