Jolla today announced that it has started taking pre-orders for the Jolla Tablet, the tablet aims to offer a user experience not present on any other tablet available in the market today. It’s powered by the company’s own Sailfish OS 2.0. The entire package offers competitive technical specifications at a relatively affordable price, those who are interested can pre-order from a limited batch that’s live now on the Jolla Online Shop.

The Jolla Tablet prototype was showcased earlier this year at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in March, it did get some attention in the media and many did ask where they could purchase one.

The company says that it’s “super excited” to open pre-order sales of the Jolla Tablet today, though it’s only available in limited quantities so those who really want one shouldn’t waste any time in placing their order.

Jolla Tablet is powered by a 1.8GHz quadcore Intel Baytrail processor with 2GB RAM and 32GB/64GB memory options. There’s a 7.85 inch 2,048×1,536 pixel resolution display with 330ppi, a 5 megapixel rear and a 2 megapixel front camera. The tablet is powered by the company’s own Sailfish mobile OS, you can watch a demo of the operating system here.

Pre-orders can be placed at the Jolla Online Shop, prices start at 267€ for the 32GB version and 299€ for the 64GB model, units are likely to be shipped by October this year.
