A new promotion was launched earlier this month to boost sales of the LG G4 in the United States, LG teamed up with Verizon to offer $100 Visa gift cards to folks who purchased a unit through Big Red. This promotion was originally supposed to run from August 1st to August 12th but owing to a significant amount of interest in the promotion the company has decided to extend it by a couple of weeks, thus giving ample time to those who still might be on the fence about picking up LG’s latest flagship device.

Through this promotion customers who purchase the LG G4 from Verizon are given a $100 Visa gift card which they can then use anywhere Visa is accepted, which is virtually everywhere.

Customers simply have to purchase the G4 either from Verizon’s website or through the carrier’s retail stores, register the device on the promotion page and provide proof of purchase after which their $100 Visa gift card will arrive in due time.

LG said today that since this exclusive promotion with Verizon has “exceeded expectations” it’s not going to pull the plug on this promotion today as originally planned, instead it will now run through to August 31st. The company has already updated its website to reflect this change.
