lg hifi musicThere are plenty of music streaming services at the moment. We have big names from the likes of Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, Rdio, just to name a few, and there are even services from handset OEMs such as Samsung with their Milk Music platform, and now it looks like LG wants in on the music streaming fun as well.

The company has recently announced that they are planning on rolling out a new HiFi music streaming service that appears to be exclusive to LG’s smartphones. The service is expected to kick off this month and will debut via the LG SmartWorld app that comes preinstalled on several LG handsets.

It is also expected to make its way across 70 countries including the US, Australia, Brazil, China, France, Italy, Russia, and the UK, so don’t let the fact that the press release originated from Seoul, South Korea fool you. Compatible devices that will be privy to this new music service includes the LG G4, G3, G2, and the LG G Flex 2.

According to Chris Yie, vice president and head of marketing communications for LG Mobile Communications Company, “Our Hi-Fi music service reflects our ongoing commitment to providing additional customer benefits to loyal LG customers. MP3 music is perfectly fine for most people but those with Hi-Fi capable LG smartphones can experience a much richer environment.”
